What do Young Marines do?

If nothing else, the Young Marines keeps its members busy.  While in the Young Marine Program youngsters participate in weekly meetings, and weekend encampments.  Once a Young Marine has been in the program for a year, and they meet certain eligibility requirements, they may apply for a Summer Program of Adventures, Challenges, Encampments and Schools (SPACES) sponsored by the Young Marines National Headquarters. There is also a foreign Army Cadet Exchange (ACE) Program that is scheduled during the summer.

Young Marines are also encouraged to actively participate in community service events in their communities, and several events are scheduled for the unit to participate in each year.
